Gaea and Uranus had separate batches of kids. So first they had the Titans and then they had the Cyclopes and so on and so forth. The Titans are Kronos, Rhea, Oceanus, Tethys, Hyperion, Mnemosyne, Themis, Iapetus, Coeus, Crius, Phoebe, Thea, Prometheus, Epimetheus, Atlas, Metis and Dione. Uranus really hated his kids (so fatherly) so he hid them deep inside of Earth never to let them see the light of day. So one day Earth grew tired of having to keep her kids locked inside of her so she devised a plan. Gaea made a gray sickle which she showed her kids how to use. Gaea loved Uranus very much but she loved her kids more. She asked which one of them wants to take revenge on their father for being so mean to them. Everyone was afraid except for Kronos. He told his mother that he will take revenge. Gaea was very happy at his statement. So at night when Uranus lovingly spread across his wife covering her with stars, Kronos slashed him to bits. When his pieces fell into the ocean the foam from his blood, produced Aphrodite goddess of love (also a Titan but she is good)
Later, Kronos married his sister Rhea. When they had kids, Kronos didn’t want to suffer the same fate as his dad. So when the children were born he would swallow them whole. Rhea’s last child was about to be born and Rhea didn’t want him to suffer the same fate as the rest of her children, so she begged the Earth and Sky to hide the child. She wrapped up a stone and gave it to Kronos. Thinking that this was a real child, he swallowed it. Little did he know that Zeus was alive and well. When Zeus grew of age he was handed the same sickle that his grandfather was killed and slashed Kronos to bits. Out of his stomach popped out Hades, Poseidon, Demeter and Hestia.
When Kronos was defeated, Gaea grew really mad since he was her favorite child and in her rage she and Tartarus produced the 12 giants each opposing one Greek god. In her final act she produced Typhoon, a 100-foot-tall monster which she had made to take revenge for the imprisoned Titans.
